The University of Connecticut is located approximately 30 miles east of Hartford, 75 miles from New Haven, and 90 miles from Boston. Easily reached by highway (I-84) and via Bradley International Airport (Hartford-Springfield). UConn lies in a beautiful area of farms, lakes, and woodland. Homer Babbidge Library offers an extensive and varied collection of resource materials as well as an excellent interlibrary loan service and electronic access to other collections. Resources at Yale, Harvard, Brown, and UMass/Amherst are only a 1- to 2-hour drive away. Other on-campus attractions include extensive computing capabilities; high-quality sports facilities; and first-rate music, theater, and film offerings. Students may enroll for credit in study abroad programs at over two dozen sites in Europe.
